This author is pretty upset that Ed Norton will not be playing The Incredible Hulk in the Avengers movie and quite frankly my husband and I are a little disappointed as well. My husband has been a fan of the Hulk since he was a boy. He's read all the comics and I do mean all, he has a collection that goes back to the 70s. I on the other hand am a fan by marriage so you might say that I am a fan in law (okay that was cheesy). Anyway, I have had the pleasure of seeing both movies and watching the entire 8 seasons of the television show on DVD. So I think I'm entitled to say that Ed makes a pretty good Banner. Hopefully Joaquin Phoenix won't let us down though. He has big shoes to fill. Lol!

I think there's probably more to the story than just "they didn't want him." Norton did a fabulous job and I'm sure Marvel couldn't have been happier with how the film turned out. So I can only assume that the break between Norton and Marvel stems from something that happened between Norton and Marvel.

Ah this is so dumb! Norton did a great job in the last movie and he should be able to reprise his role in The Avengers. But like most things, the higher ups don’t care.

I don't know much about the way Marvel treats its employees, but I do know that this version of the Hulk was head over heels better than the first one. Edward saved the film franchise and I think they should keep him.

I think its a hulking piece of green crap what Marvel has done here. No surprise, with what you mentioned in regards to the artists and writers of the comics, let alone, how they treated Sam L. Jackson after Iron Man was released. Or how they treated Norton around the release of The Incredible Hulk.
I love Marvel, they make great books and great movies, but they make crappy employers. I wish I could say I'd boycott this movie as I do the 20th Century Fox Marvel properties, but they kinda have me over a barrel here.
