GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra – What did you think?

GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra hit US theaters Friday. Master Digital Color’s official review will be online Monday. In the meantime tell us your thoughts on Destro, the Baroness and the Joes. Did you love or loathe it. Were the characters done right, all but one perhaps? Potential spoilers in the comments… now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

    Otherwise, I’ll just say that I did not like the film one bit. It was okay as far as something to watch but as a fan one couln’t enjoy it.
    When I say fan, I mean that you are a die-hard fan. One who has collected all or most of the comics, has all the dvds, has most or all of the action figures. If you are that fan – the movie will do little to impress you. As a mtter of fact, it will annoy you.

    The opposite can be said as well. If you never were a GI Joe fan as a kid/young adult and do not really know the mythos well. Thejn you may actually love this film.

    That said, I am fan, and the film let me down. I give it one out of five stars. The least of which can’t even be seen on the movie’s logo.
